Karle and family - Denny and I were among the six who started school together in the Faulkner school--prior to that, I am recalling he attended my first and only birthday party. Even though I went to another elementary school, we remained friends through churh, Sunday school, and confirmation until we started HS together. Then I moved away. I do remember visiting at hour home after you were married at least once. Regardless of the distance, I always think of "Denny and Russell (Hinders) as special people in my life. The last time we were together was at the 50th AHS reunion. His laugh was the same (and contagious), his passion for his work with the cattle, his moving to the Branson area seemed to fit him, and he spoke fondly of you and your family. My sympathy to you. You were together, and I cannot imagine your loss. It sounds like his health have not made the past few years easy except that you've been together. (We did miss him at the 55th--Mary (Wolf) Moats and Russell (the remaining of the Faulkner class) spoke of Denny as we knew that he was taking treatments for the cancer. Missed him and you. Blessings to you as you go on--let your good memories and faith help to fill the emptiness. Arne Enslin

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Denny was an important part of my life when I was little and he was one of the big boys. I'm so glad I was able to see him last year at the Penning fall picnic.

Sorry to hear the new about Denny. Our prayers are with you all. Hang on to the wonderful memories of a terrific guy. Even though we haven't seen Denny much the last few years I have some precious memories of my cousin, from when I spent summers on the farm with all my cousins around Ackley to times at Grandma Penning's to seeing Denny and Karla on Santa's lap at Klass and Martha's at Christmas. I will hang on to those memories until I see Denny when I get to Heaven. Keith Penning

Sorry to hear about your loss. Were you still working with Arabian horses? I still have one, he's 30 years old and hasn't missed a meal in a long time. Just a pet for the grandkids. Take care. Mike Garrels
