Perry Wayne Lummis Sr. age 68, of Nixa, MO passed away December 11, 2012 in Mercy Hospital. He was born January 13, 1944, the son of Ralph W. and Mary Kay (Gillespie) Lummis. He is remembered by two sons and a daughter; Perry Wayne Lummis Jr. and his wife, Mary, Kerry James Lummis and his wife, Charece, Cheri Kay Crane and her husband, Stephen. Perry was united in marriage to Donna Fay Johnston on October 24, 1991. This union added two stepsons to the family; Marty Ray Bosserman and his wife, Christy and Travis Alan Bosserman and his wife, Renae. Perry worked as a journeyman carpenter in Kansas City before relocating to Billings, Mo as a residential framer. Perry continued his business by building homes. Perry was always active outdoors and instilled the same nature in his children. They enjoyed time together hunting, fishing, water sports (including ski competitions), and family trips. He loved the outdoors and accumulated toys to feed his active nature. His most enjoyable activities included trips around the US and Canada on his Harley with Donna, weekends on his Malibu boat skiing barefoot or running the slalom course, fishing in his Champion boat, bow and gun hunting for deer, turkey, pheasant and other game, a multitude of Mexico vacations, and riding his ATV at the farm. Perry’s kids expanded his legacy with eight grandchildren; Payton Bosserman, Athan Lummis, Ashley Bosserman, Corey Lummis, Kristian Lummis, Chase Lummis, Parker Bosserman, and Claire Lummis. He is also survived by his brother Robert Lummis and wife Patsy of Marshfield, MO. Perry continued to be active, spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever possible.
