Marrill Dove

Marrill Yvonne (Bigler) Dove, age 61 of Ozark and formerly of Willard, passed away July 12, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield. She was born August 12, 1951 in Humansville, Missouri to Oral and Shirley Bigler. Marrill graduated from Skyline High School in 1969 and graduated from Burge School of Nursing in 1972. After graduation, she was employed by Cox Medical Center in the department of Coronary Care and was assigned to the Coronary Mobile Unit. She later transferred to the Intensive Care Nursery where she worked until she retired in February 2013.  Marrill loved working with the little babies and nursing them back to health. Marrill also enjoyed making flags and supporting the Willard Marching Band for 10 years. She attended band concerts and watched her son march with the Cutting Edge Band.Marrill and Gerald Dove met in August of 1972 and were married on November 24, 1972 in Springfield. Marrill was preceded in death by her parents. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Gerald of 40 years and her two children, Angela Dove-McCord  and Gary L Dove both of Willard; two sisters, Crystal Bigler-Spencer of Colorado, Julie Kingston and her husband Sid of Urbana, Missouri. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Cordell McCord and Emily McCord, several nieces, nephews and other caring relatives.  Marrill loved her family more than life and she will be greatly missed.Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Dennis Metzger officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery, Willard, MO. Visitation was 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Children’s Miracle Network in Marrill’s name.  On line condolences may be shared at barnesfamilyfunerals@aol.com
