John Neal Harman

John Neal Harman, age 58 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.  He was born  August 2, 1955 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina the son of Bill and Lorrane (Messenger) Harman. On September 30, 1995 Neal was united in marriage to Peggy Sue Cobb. Neal’s greatest enjoyment in life was cooking on his grill and smoker for his family and friends.  He loved bluegrass music and he made lasting friendships in the bluegrass family.  Neal always found peace while outdoors cutting wood and gardening.  Neal was a veteran and served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Neal is survived by his loving wife Peggy, several caring relatives and good friends. He was also unconditionally loved by his beautiful Springer Spaniel, Scooter.  They were truly best friends.  Neal was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws.  Neal will be missed by his family and friends but always fondly remembered. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Mark Zimmerman officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time in the funeral home.  Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.  Online condolence may be shared at
