Frank Essick, age 76 of Highlandville, Missouri passed away suddenly in his home, Sunday, February 22, 2015. He was born March 5, 1938 in Shoshone, Idaho the son of Rube Essick and Maxine (Thomas) Mettler. Frank was a longtime resident of Christian County and enjoyed his rural life in Highlandville. He was an outdoorsman with an interest in buying and trading guns. Frank spent his life as a hard working self-employed roof construction worker. He was a quiet man with a big heart and was always willing to help others. Frank received an honorable discharge and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Francis Kyker and a special nephew Mark Essick. Frank is survived by his son Matt Essick of Winnsboro, Louisiana; two brothers Dickie Essick and wife Carla, Bill Essick and wife Debbie all of Highlandville, other caring relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Spokane Cemetery with Pastor Danny Call officiating. Online condolences may be shared at
