     Eamonn Joseph Vize, age 59, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. Eamonn was born November 13, 1958 in Flushing, New York the son of Edward and Bridget (Callan) Vize. He was united in marriage October 10, 2013 to Betty (Bilyeu) Stogsdill Vize. Eamonn attended Archbishop Molloy High School and Manhattan College. Eamonn spent all of his adult life as a chemical engineer. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in Quality Control and ensuring adherence to the strict standards of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for his company’s products. His work took him across the United States and around the world.  He worked on projects in China (making hepatitis vaccines that saved children’s lives) and India (working on process controls to ensure the creation of the best pharmaceutical products). Eamonn enjoyed teaching Sunday school, mentoring youth and advising co-workers. He loved traveling with Betty, especially to Ireland to see his extended Irish family. He had many hobbies including rocketry and studying history and historical events. Eamonn is survived by his wife of four years Betty Vize; his children, Sean Vize, Colin Vize, Brendan Vize, Shannon Vize, Nicholas Stogsdill and Jessica Stogsdill. Immediate family also includes his brother Michael Vize. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Bridget Vize. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in The Springs Church, 5500 South Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804 with Pastor Tom Semmelbeck officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to honor  Eamonn’s charity he worked with to help children in need.
